NPT Adult Learning in the Community
NPT Adult Learning in the Community can provide free training courses, such as CV Writing, Interview Skills & Confidence Building to help you to prepare for and find work.
They also offer retraining and upskilling opportunities with courses from entry level, up to level 3.
Personal Learning Accounts
Personal Learning Accounts provide flexible and fully funded learning to individuals looking to upskill in priority sectors. A Personal Learning Account can help individuals, particularly those facing redundancy, access new employment opportunities in key sectors.

Support for individuals
Business Wales is the Welsh Government’s bilingual business support service for Welsh micro-businesses and SMEs including social enterprises, and aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages to access the information, advice and support needed to help you start and grow your businesses.
Business Wales can provide support if you are considering self-employment or starting your own business. Our Business advisory team can provide a range of business information and business advice through workshops and one-to-one meetings, to help you review your ideas and prepare business plans, as well as accessing business finance. Welsh Government Funded Training (Heads Of The Valley)
Funded by Welsh Government, free courses are available at Heads of the Valleys Training.
The free courses include HGV/LGV driver training, Bus driver training, ADR Dangerous Goods training, Lorry Loader HIAB training and various forklift truck and machinery training courses.
Computeraid Digital Skills @ Work
A new fully funded higher level digital skills course for people living or working in Neath Port Talbot to upskill, retrain and gain qualifications.
ReAct+
The ReAct+ programme can provide a grant of up to £1,500 for vocational training and up to £200 to help with costs associated with training. Additional support for care and childcare costs is also available.

Machine learning course
This course aims to help learners acquire skills in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and machine learning model development. You don't need extensive coding knowledge.

Switch on Skills project
The Switch on Skills project provides free, online, accredited training courses aimed at achieving Net Zero.
With funding from the Neath Port Talbot Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the project, in collaboration and cooperation with industry and academia, delivers a flexible model that utilises:
- advances in online guided learning
- in-person teaching
- practical sessions
Participants can access short micro-credential courses and use these to build qualifications or gain the skills needed for their role, so that the current workforce and businesses remain competitive and a pipeline of talent comes through from schools, Further Education (FE), and Higher Education (HE) institutions.
