Information for parents

As a parent you can also play a major role in your child's Road Safety Education on a day to day basis, no matter what their age.

Set by example, by holding the hands of young children.  Always look for a place where you can see the traffic and the traffic can see you when crossing the road and stay away from parked cars wherever possible. Use Safer Crossing Places such as Zebra Crossings and Pelican Crossings where-ever you can.  Always wear a seat belt in the car and ensure your children do the same and that they are in the correct child restraint, and encourage your children to wear a helmet when on a bike, skateboard or scooter and do the same yourself!
