Council Tax
Let us know that you've moved into the area by filling in our form.
You can also:

- check if you are eligible for council tax discounts and exemptions
Bins and recycling
Bin and recycling collections
Check when we collect your bins and recycling.
Recycling collections are every week. Bin collections are every two weeks.
We also collect garden waste every two weeks. There is no charge for collection but you'll need to buy garden waste sacks.
Recycling equipment
Find out how to sort your recycling with our recycling guide.
You can order recycling equipment online. Most equipment is free but there is a charge for garden waste sacks.
Recycling centres
Find a recycling centre and book a slot to visit.
Elections and voting
You must register to vote at your new address.
To register you will need your:
- National Insurance number
- date of birth
- full address details
Schools
School admissions and term dates
Find out which schools are in your area and apply for a school place. Or see school term dates.
School meals
See primary school lunch menus. You can also see which schools have breakfast clubs.
Getting to school
Find out if your child is eligible for free school transport and see school bus timetables.
Councillors
Find out who your councillors are. You can also see if there's a town or community council in your area.

Leisure centres
There are six leisure centres in the area. Each centre has individual opening hours and schedules. You can pay per session or choose from a selection of membership packages.
