Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that safeguards children and adults, supports professionals, and ensures high standards of safeguarding practice across Neath Port Talbot? If so, this is your chance to make a real difference.

As the Designated Officer for Safeguarding, you will be the key figure in managing and overseeing all safeguarding allegations made against professionals, volunteers, and carers who work with children and/or adults. This post is unique as it is one of the only posts in the UK that covers children and adults.

Acting as a trusted advisor and leader, you will ensure the highest levels of practice in child protection and adult at risk within Neath Port Talbot. As the DSM you will be instrumental in monitoring the Local Authority and partnership response to professional abuse and persons in a position of trust.  But that's not all! You'll also have the chance to collaborate with key stakeholders, contributing to service delivery enhancements across Children's and Adult Services and our wider partnership, regional and national networks.
