About our emergency planning team
We aim to ensure that the local authority can keep the people in the area safe during times of crisis.
We work with emergency services and other organisations in Neath Port Talbot to:
- assess and plan for local risks
- liaise with other responding organisations
- exercise and train
- warn and inform the public (including providing business continuity advice)
- respond to incidents
South Wales Local Resilience forums
Neath Port Talbot Council is part of the South Wales Local Resilience Forum (SWLRF). The forum includes:
- Local Authorities
- emergency services
- other responders
The Forum helps to coordinate the emergency arrangements within the South Wales area.
