Community Regeneration
The aim of regeneration in general is to enable communities that have suffered from economic, social and environmental decline to be able to rebuild their own communities.
Neath Port Talbot Council and its partners are therefore committed to working with community groups and organisations to help identify and implement community-led training, economic, environmental and other initiatives, to help make communities better places to live and work.
The Council and its partners can advise community groups and organisations looking to set up enterprises or any other project beneficial to their local community.
Support is available from a range of agencies including
- the Council,
- Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service,
- the ERDF Convergence Funded Collaborative Communities project,
- Communities First,
- the Wales Cooperative Centre,
- Social Firms Wales,
- Business Connect Neath Port Talbot and
- the Welsh Government Department for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage.
These agencies can provide a range of support relating to areas such as governance, financial management, marketing, business planning and access to financial support.
