(Revocation of no entry) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that the Council on the 1st July 2024 made an Order in pursuance of its powers as contained in Sections 1, 2 an Part IV of  Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is  as set out in the Schedules below.

A copy of the Order can be inspected on the Council’s Internet Website.

The Order will come into force on the 6th July 2024.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its powers on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.

Schedules

Schedule 1 - revocation of no entry Traffic Regulation Order

1.1 Lane Rear of 1 to 17 Crown Street, Port Talbot
Any existing No Entry Orders on Crown Street Rear Lane at its junction with Oakwood Street are hereby revoked.

The Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1 and 2 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act of 1984”) and of all other powers them enabling and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order shall come into operation on the 6th day of July 2024 and may be cited as the “Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (Lane rear of 1 to 17 Crown Street, Port Talbot) (Revocation of no entry) Order 2024”.

   1. Except where otherwise stated, any reference in this Order to a numbered Article or Schedule is a reference to the Article or Schedule bearing that number in this Order.
   2. The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the Interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. Any existing No Entry Orders are hereby revoked only in so far as they relate to the sides and lengths of road set out in the Schedule of this Order.
