Glynneath Town Council - West Central Ward 

Election of a Community Councillor

1. An election is to be held to elect a Community Councillor for the undermentioned Ward.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the office of the Returning Officer, Room 233, Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ, on any day after the date of this notice, but no later than 4pm on 18th October 2024.
3. Alternatively, electronic copies of completed nomination papers must be submitted to: nominations@npt.gov.uk as per the arrangements set out in the electronic delivery statement.
4. Nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the Returning Officer, Room 233, Civic Centre, Port Talbot, from 10 October 2024.
5. If any election is contested, the poll will take place on 14 November 2024.
6. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on 29 October 2024. Applications can be made online.
7. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ by 5pm on 30 October 2024.
8. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Room 233, Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ by 5pm on 6 November 2024.
9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity, or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 14 November 2024. The physical incapacity  must have occurred after 5pm on 6 November 2024. To apply on the grounds of work/service the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on 6 November 2024.
