Pay your Council Tax
Direct debit
If you have received a reminder, final notice, summons or any other enforcement action you should NOT complete the online direct debit form. Contact us as soon as possible.
Direct debit is the easiest and most convenient method of payment. You can choose to pay on the 1st, 16th or 28th of each month.
Before you start
You'll need:
- your Council Tax reference number
- your bank name, account number and sort code
- the names on the bank account
To change direct debit details, submit a new form or contact us.
Online payment
Paying online is easy and secure and can be made with your debit or credit card.
You will need your Council Tax reference number.

Post Office
You can pay at any Post Office. You can only pay the full amount of the instalment due. You must take your council tax bill with you each time you make a payment. Please be aware your payment may not reach your account for a few days.

Make cheques payable to Neath Port Talbot CBC and make sure you enter your council tax reference and name and address on the back of your cheque.
