Mumbles based soprano Madlen, who recently graduated from the Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts (WAVDA), has recently toured Belgium and Paris as a member of Mumbles A Cappella Choir appearing at St Bavo’s Cathedral, Ghent as well as at Saint-Sulpice and La Madeleine in Paris.

In 2022 Madlen sang, as part of the UWTSD Academy Voices Choir, alongside Katherine Jenkins, for Queen Elizabeth Il at the Royal Windsor Horse Show as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

She was also part of the Côr Ifor Bach choir that won the prestigious Côr Cymru S4C choral competition (2024) under the direction of Eilir Owen Griffiths.

The Mayor of Neath Port Talbot, Cllr Matthew Crowley, said: “Madlen now completes a first class line-up for this year’s Remembrance Concert. Having seen videos of Madlen’s previous performances and hearing many people calling her ‘the next Katherine Jenkins’, I’m sure she is destined for a stellar career.

“Everyone on the programme is at the top of their game and the Remembrance Concert promises to be a fantastic evening, and a fitting tribute to honour the service of, and the sacrifices made, by those who have fought for our freedoms and the entire Armed Forces Community, past and present”.
