Ferry Fest Parade Briton Ferry - Temporary Road Closures Order 2024

WHEREAS the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council ("the Council") being the Traffic Authority for the County Borough Council is satisfied that various streets in Briton Ferry should be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic in order to enable the Ferry Fest Parade to take place.

NOW therefore the Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation 1984 (as amended) and Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and of all other enabling powers hereby make the following order.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

  1. Subject to the provision contained in clause 2 below, the streets as set out in the schedule below will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic at such times and for such durations as are necessary to enable the Ferry Fest Parade to take place during the period that this order is in force.
  2. The restriction in clause 1 above will not apply to the following vehicles:
    • Private ambulance being used for the event
    • Traffic Management support vehicle being used for the event
    • Police and Emergency vehicles
  3. This Order will be in force from 10.00am to 1.00pm on Sunday, 26th May 2024.
  4. This order may be cited as "The Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (Ferry Fest Parade Briton Ferry) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2024."

Church Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Vernon Place to its junction Bethal Street.

Vernon Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Regent Street West to its junction with Church Street.

Bethel Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Villiers Street to its junction with Sane Lane.

Sand Lane, Briton Ferry

From its junction with the Bethal Street to its junction with Villiers Street.

Villiers Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Sand Lane to its junction with Hunters Street.

Hunters Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Villiers Street to its junction with Regent Street East.

Regent Street East, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Hunters Street to its junction with Thomas Street.

Thomas Street, Briton Ferry

From its junction with Regent Street East to its junction with Caroline Street,

From its junction with Lane Rear of Ynysmaerdy Primary School to its junction with Rockingham Terrace.

From its junction with Osterley Street to its junction with Ynysmaerdy Road.

Roads and side roads/street junctions will only be closed intermittently whilst events are in progress and where possible 'rolling closures' will be used to keep disruption of traffic to a minimum.

Viva Port Talbot, Food and Drink Festival - Temporary Road Closures Order 2024

WHEREAS the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council ("the Council") being the Traffic Authority for the County Borough Council is satisfied that the lengths of roads in Port Talbot should be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic in order to enable the Viva Port Talbot Food and Drink Festival to take place.

NOW therefore the Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation 1984 (as amended) and Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and of all other enabling powers hereby make the following order.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

  1. The lengths of roads set out in the schedule below will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic at such times and for such durations as are necessary to enable the Viva Port Talbot Food and Drink Festival to take place during the period that this Order is in force.
  2. This Order will come into force from 8.30am until 10.30am on Saturday 11th May 2024.
  3. This Order may be cited as "The Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (Viva Port Talbot Food and Drink Festival) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2024."

Station Road, Port Talbot

From its junction with Riverside Access Road for a distance of approximately 235 metres along its length in a north westerly direction.

Forge Road, Port Talbot

From its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 145 metres along its length in an easterly direction.

In it Together Festival - Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading or Unloading at any time Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (“the Council”) being the Traffic Authority for the County Borough is satisfied that certain roads in Margam should temporarily be subject to No Waiting, Loading or Unloading At Any Time restrictions in order to prevent indiscriminate parking of vehicles on those roads in the interest of road safety whilst the IN IT TOGETHER FESTIVAL 2024 takes place in the vicinity of those roads. 

NOW therefore the Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and of all other enabling powers has made the following order.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

  1. Whilst the Order is in force, save as provided in clause 2 below, no person shall except upon the direction of a police constable in uniform cause or permit any vehicle to Wait, Load or Unload At Any Time on the lengths of carriageways, and/or on the adjacent footways and highway verges of the roads set out in the Schedule below.

  2. The prohibition in clause 1 above does not apply to :-
    1. any vehicle stopping in order to enable a person to board or alight from that vehicle
    2. any vehicle being used at the time for any building, industrial or demolition works being carried out on any land adjacent to these roads  
    3. any vehicle being used at the time by the emergency services for the purposes of carrying out their functions  
    4. any vehicle being used by the local authority for carrying out its functions on or adjacent to these roads
    5. any vehicle being used by a statutory undertaker whilst carrying out its functions on or adjacent to these roads
    6. any Universal Service Provider’s vehicle for the purpose of collecting or delivering postal packets/parcels from premises adjacent to these roads

  3. Whilst the Order is in force, the South Wales Police Constabulary are hereby authorised
    1. to direct any vehicular traffic which are in breach of the provisions of the Order to vacate any part of the carriageways, footways or highway verges of the roads set out in the Schedule below.

      AND/OR

    2. to remove any vehicles which are in breach of the provisions of the Order, by such means of removal as the Police deem appropriate, from those roads set out in the Schedule below (e.g. by towing away of vehicles).

  4. The Order will be in force from 2pm on Wednesday 22nd May 2024 until 6pm on Monday 27th May 2024.
