Since 2019 all Local Authorities in Wales have received funding from Welsh Government, known as the ‘Period Dignity Grant’, to help tackle period poverty across Wales.
It will help to make Wales a truly period proud nation and ensure access to menstrual products without embarrassment or shame.
All primary and secondary schools in Neath Port Talbot receive funding to provide free period products to those in need in a practical and dignified manner.
Where can I get products?
The grant supports our communities by providing free resources via key points of help.
You can collect your free period products from various locations across the County:
- all schools
- Foodbanks
- Community centres
- Libraries
- Tir Morfa Centre
- The Opportunity Hub
- Workways+
If you or someone in your home is finding it hard to source the period products you need, please speak to your Community Connector:
What products are available?
There are a range of products available to suit everyone’s needs:
- tampons

The aim is to deliver products that help the environment, including reusable and plastic-free options.
