Tata Steel Transition Sub-groups

The sub-groups will be responsible for mobilising local partners and gathering information on a range of support programmes, recommending courses of actions or interventions to the Transition Board

People, Skills and Business sub-groups

Responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating the repaid response to support affected workers and supply chain businesses
  • Developing proposals for additional people (skills, re-training, employment, entrepreneurship) and business support interventions as needed

Place and Regeneration sub-group

Responsible for:

  • Working with local partners to develop a credible, long term regeneration plan
  • Bringing forward project proposals and business cases.
