Stand-Up for South Wales Comedy Festival
September 20th – October 6th, 2024
The first ever Stand-Up for South Wales Comedy Festival is on the way!
This autumn we’re spreading the feel-good factor across Neath Port Talbot.
Along with some of the biggest names from the UK stand-up scene, up-and-coming acts fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe will be performing at venues near you.
As well as plenty of side-splitting stand-up, there’ll be:
- family-friendly shows
- silly stuff for kids
- a range of other cool comedy capers occurring all over NPT!
Keep up to date with the latest festival news at www.southwalescomedy.com …and via #southwalescomedy on Facebook & Instagram.
Line-up so far…

Andrew O'Neill - Geburah - Wednesday October 2nd (8pm)
Andrew O'Neill is an award-winning comedian, musician and best-selling writer. A psychedelic non-binary whirlwind, they combine surrealism, polemic and good old-fashioned stagecraft to produce uniquely counter-cultural stand-up.
A critical smash-hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, GEBURAH is a surreal, occult, political stand-up comedy show with a hopeful and practical message. And yeah, we kill the king at the end.
Andrew O’Neill is a veteran of the comedy circuit. Their unique approach to stand-up has seen them work alongside Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Stewart Lee, and Amanda Palmer.
* GEBURAH is the fifth sphere of the hermetic qabalah, the tree of life that forms the basis of the Western Magickal Tradition.
They have acted opposite John Hamm and David Tennant in Good Omens, Steve Coogan in Saxondale and Tom Burke and Ellie Bamber in Alan Moore’s film The Show. Andrew's show takes place at The Duke, which was the birthplace of the Neath Comedy Festival and Andrew was the first comedian at Neath's original comedy club, The Clown's Pocket Comedy Club at this venue.

Milton Jones - HA!MILTON - Thursday October 3rd (7:30pm)
This is not a musical. Milton Jones is tone-deaf and has no sense of rhythm, but at least he doesn’t make a song and dance about it. He has more important things to discuss. Like giraffes …and there’s a bit about tomatoes.
You might know him from Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo or Radio 4. This is a whole new show of daftness. You know it makes sense
