Draft Heritage Strategy consultation
The Council recognises the contribution that our area’s heritage makes to:
- the character of Neath Port Talbot
- its economic vitality
- the quality of life of the people who live and work here
Our heritage contributes to our local identity and sense of community. And our historic environment is part of the area’s visual and cultural appeal.
This is part of our commitment to future generations to conserve, protect and sustain our:
- culture
- heritage
- historic environment
- language
We have secured funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery Players, to develop a Heritage Strategy – Restore, Regenerate, Repurpose.
This draft document sets out actions and measures:
- to ensure the conservation, management and sustainability of our heritage assets
- to support and sustain the volunteer groups who work to preserve our historic environment for everyone
Questionnaire
Going forward we are inviting you to engage with us. We value feedback from our residents, businesses, partners and volunteers. Your views and opinions are important. They help us shape and deliver actions based on what matters locally across our communities.
Please read the draft strategy and give us your feedback by completing this questionnaire. Your responses will help us identify what is important to you and your community. This will be used to inform the priorities that will be included in the final version of the Heritage Strategy for 2023 – 2038.
