Knitted and crocheted Poppy Appeal

For this year’s Remembrance Concert at the Princess Royal Theatre, we plan to cover the front of the stage with knitted and crocheted red and purple poppies, 4 to 5 inches in size and in various shades.  The red is for people who lost their lives, and the purple is for the animals.

Please submit poppies by 1 October. The Armed Forces Cadets will sew them onto netting to create a striking stage display for the Remembrance Concert.

The poppies will be displayed at Aberafan Shopping Centre the next day for the RBL poppy appeal launch and flag-raising ceremony.

If you can help, please email: armedforces@npt.gov.uk  or call: 07870 979336 for more information.
