What is domestic abuse?
Domestic Abuse covers any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse.
This would apply to those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, abused by intimate partners or family members.
Domestic abuse covers all genders and all sexualities.
Domestic abuse can encompass, but is not limited to, the following types of abuse:
- psychological
- physical
- sexual
- financial
- emotional
