The aroma of sizzling street food and the sound of live music – it can only mean one thing: the Neath Food and Drink Festival is back.
Organised by Neath Port Talbot Council, the festival is set to enthral foodies on Friday 6th October and Saturday 7th October in the heart of Neath town centre.
Since starting in 2009, the Neath Food and Drink Festival has become one of the most anticipated events of its kind in Wales, drawing crowds of more than 20,000 visitors each day. This two-day culinary celebration is a true homage to Welsh cuisine and hospitality, featuring a diverse line-up of more than 50 vendors showcasing everything from artisan cheeses and charcuterie to meat, organic vegetables, desserts, as well as craft beers, ciders, spirits and so much more. There are also plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available, ensuring there's something for every palate.
But the Neath Food and Drink Festival is more than just a culinary delight. Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy live music from local bands, revel in street performances, attend cooking demonstrations, and participate in workshops.
Councillor Cen Phillips, Neath Port Talbot Council’s Cabinet Member for Nature, Tourism, and Wellbeing, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming festival, saying, "The Neath Food and Drink Festival is a great opportunity to show off the market town of Neath where I’m sure local traders will benefit from the increased footfall.
“The festival will showcase the very best local produce being made in Neath Port Talbot and across South Wales.”
“We can't wait to welcome everyone to Neath town centre this October for another unforgettable food and drink experience."
