Clyne and Melincourt
Election of a Community Councillor
- An election is to be held to elect one Community Councillor for the Community of Clyne and Melincourt.
- Nomination papers must be delivered to the office of the Returning Officer, Room 233, Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ, between 10am and 5pm on any working day after the date of this notice but no later than 4pm on Friday 24 November 2023.
- Alternatively, electronic copies of completed nomination papers may be submitted to nominations@npt.gov.uk as per the arrangements set out in the electronic delivery statement overleaf.
- Nomination papers can be obtained from the office of the Returning Officer, Civic Centre, Port Talbot SA13 1PJ, during the times stated above.
- If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 21 December 2023.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 5 December 2023. Applications can be made online
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ by 5pm on Wednesday 6 December 2023.
- Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ by 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of disability, or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Civic Centre, Port Talbot, SA13 1PJ by 5pm on Thursday 21 December 2023. The disability must have occurred after 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2023. To apply on the grounds of work/service the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
