The 'Executive' explained/Cabinet Boards
The Executive is another name for the 10 Cabinet Members of Neath Port Talbot Council. The Executive make the main, overarching decisions for the Council. Sometimes the decisions will be made in a meeting of all ten of the Executive (Cabinet) and sometimes the decisions will be made by two or three members of the Executive (Cabinet Boards). There are 4 Cabinet Boards, including Cabinet:
Cabinet (Policy and Resources) Sub Committee
Education, Skills and Wellbeing Cabinet Board
Environment, Regeneration and Streetscene Services Cabinet Board
Social Services, Housing and Community Safety Cabinet Board
Unless there is a good reason, such as protecting the identity of an individual, then members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of Cabinet and Cabinet Boards, but currently can only observe and aren’t able to speak at these meetings.
